I’m gonna code CrawlCache, but I need some advice first.

May 27, 2008 on 12:24 am | In Programming |

Tomorrow, I’m going to start coding CrawlCache, but I need some advice before I can do this. If you can answer any of the questions that follow, please answer via comment. (Be sure to register if you want to post a comment though.)

First, I need some advice regarding how many keywords I should get the spider to grab from each website. Is there a certain number I should grab? If not, what is the number I should code in?

Second, what is the best method to secure the administration and user areas?

Third, how should I sort the results? If via some sort of page ranking system, what system should I use? If via algorithm, which one should I use and how should I implement it?

Finally, how should I charge for advertising? Should I charge via credits with more credits for more popular keywords, or some other method?

Thanks for your answers in advance. CrawlCache will be more user-friendly because of your input!
