I am tired of using System Restores!

I am tired of using System Restore to be able to access the internet from my computer! I have decided I need to get satellite internet ASAP. Until then, if my connectivity goes off-line again, I can access the net from work using my laptop I guess. It will probably mean that my blog posts will be less frequent, and that email will pile up in my inboxes. I guess that is just life.

It is good to laugh once in a while!

It is good to get a laugh once in a while, and the new joke blog of my friend Sean Chiarot, HaveALaugh, seems to fit the bill for me. It is packed with lots of jokes, so if you need a laugh, please check it out! Don’t forget to register to comment on the jokes!

One thing I have noticed is that I forgot to post the weekly rant on Friday. Oh well, makes the next one doubly important and doubly irratable!

JobMarket is almost ready…

JobMarket is almost ready for people to enjoy fully. I say “almost” because there are a few problems yet to be worked out. As soon as they are, I believe it will be added to the Joffee Publishing Network.

On another note, six more products were added two days ago to the Joffee Publishing Inc. store. Five of them are books, and one is all of the books in one zip file.

AdultFunPlace.org removed from the Joffee Publishing Network

Due to a lack of registrations, Joffee Publishing Inc. decided to remove AdultFunPlace.org today from its network. Kind of sad day when a dating site can not succeed on the net…

I also removed the link from my blog to that site.

I can use my connection again!

Well, I can use my connection again! After failing to do it via removal and re installation of the driver for the modem, a System Restore to the way the computer was on July 4th did the trick! It is so nice to able to surf the web from my own PC!

I still can’t use my internet connection!

I still can’t use my internet connection, even though I’ve deleted and recreated my dial-up connection. I went and posted a HijackThis log to a forum I go to, so hopefully someone will be able to help me out!

Oh, I do have something else to write about, but I think I will wait and let it totally play out before I post about it!

Got a weird problem on my computer!

I have an unusual problem on my main computer: I can connect to the web, but I cannot do anything web-related once I am connected. I have tried everything I can think of, and so far nothing has worked! If you think you have a solution to this problem, please contact me or leave a comment!

I added HotScripts to the Cool Sites.

I went and added HotScripts to the list of Cool Sites here. I did this for a couple of good reasons: They have a wide variety of software for websites to download, some of it is free. I can say that when I have been hunting for a good script, I usually go there first. Finally, they also have tutorials on their site.

I could have posted yesterday, but I totally forgot to do so before I went to town at noon. I also could have done so at the library, but I was in a hurry. I also didn’t find anything useful at the library for my search. Thank God Books For You in the mall had a couple of good magazines! I also got a couple of names of people to contact who are into model railroading.

Why I have not been working on JobMarket.

I have not been working on JobMarket, as I have the following problem: I know what I want to do, but I do not know how to program it! See, I want to show a brief summary of the job offering or resume, and link to the full one from the summary. Unfortunately, I do not know how to program this in HTML and PHP.
I guess I could program the registration and log-in, but right now, it would not be of much use to anyone. If you can help me program this, please consider contacting me!

It’s nice to be able to sleep in…

It is nice that for the next week coming up, I believe I will be able to sleep in every single day for a change. Getting up early is tough on my body, especially when I do not have anywhere to nap.
At least today Dad managed to take me home before he was off work, and while at it, he showed his client and me the Museum that used to be the railroad station. The museum’s outdoor miniature railroad got me to thinking I could build something similar here on the acreage, after I complete my financial goals. My dad liked the idea, and I think my mom did as well. So I should do some research now about it.

Rant of the Week for July 4, 2008.

Before I begin to complain, let me wish all my American readers a Happy 4th of July. Happy Birthday America! May you long guard the freedoms in which we all share!

To kickoff this week’s rants, I shall begin by complaining about the lack of registrations on some of my sites. Most notably of this trend are AdultFunPlace.org and Joffee Auctions, which have had 0 registrations to date! Why won’t people register? It’s free to do so at both, so it doesn’t harm you to register!

My second area of complaints is aimed at my internet speed. I hate how slow my connection is! 31.2 Kbps is not fast enough these days to keep up with the net! I wish there was a cheap and fast way to connect to the web outside of cities and towns! Satellite is too expensive, and it is also too restrictive. I mean a quote of $700 to just install it, and I live only 15 minutes from the nearest city? Give me a break!

My final area where I am going to complain about is the lack of bids on the stuff I put up for auction, no matter what site. Why won’t people bid on the items? What is wrong with people these days? Don’t they want to grab a barely-used sound card or a used mobile music player for cheap?

It seems no one wants a good second-hand sound card…

It seems from the lack of registrations and bids on the sound card I have up for auction at Joffee Auctions that no one wants it. If no one bids on it, I will try selling it on eBay. I tried that with the 2GB RCA Lyra, and no one bid on it the entire time! Oh well, I guess I can use it for now…

I’m all day in town!

I’m posting this from work on my laptop, as I think I am stuck in town all day! Kinda tough, but a shift today is more money for my next paycheck!
