What I would do if I became Prime Minister
August 13, 2008 on 12:56 pm | In Canadian Politics | No CommentsWith all of the potential of an election this fall up here in Canada, I thought I would tell you what I would do if I was elected Prime Minister as head of a Canadian political party. I would try and do the following:
- Make a plan for paying off the national debt.
- Make government as small as practical, to help in the next plank of this potential platform.
- Reduce taxes to the average tax-payer.
- Ask respected scientists to see how valid global warming is, and if it is serious, ask both them and respected economists how to reduce Canada’s contribution to it, while keeping the economy good.
- This is a BIG maybe:Ask Canadians in a referendum how they feel towards Canada keeping the British monarch as our Head of State, and if they don’t want him/her as the head of state, what to put in his/her place.
