Latest Writing News, MSN Messenger, and Other Stuff

Standard

Greetings everyone! I’ve got a lot to talk about in this post: the latest writing news, Microsoft Live Messenger’s future (not good), and some other stuff, so I hope that you will read on! ;)

First off, I will give you all an update on my writing. I will likely be releasing the next chapter of “Taking Responsibility” today or tomorrow. All I have left to write is a capture of a rare Pokemon and two very sad scenes, one in the Tree of Beginning, and one in the palace at Rota. :( Why are the scenes sad? You’ll have to wait until the chapter is published at Unlimited Fan Fiction to find out! ;)

Microsoft has announced that as of March, it will be completely shutting down the Microsoft Live Messenger service globally and switching all users to Skype, which it bought back in October 2012 for $8.5 billion. I have already removed the MSN Messenger profile field from Unlimited Fan Fiction, and will be removing the account from my IM client at the end of this month. I do not use Skype anymore because the client refuses to work on my computer. This really doesn’t bother me that much because most of my contacts are on Facebook and/or Google+.

I’m hoping to have an integrated birthday plugin for my sites (other than this one, Leet Auctions, and Swagnilla Ice) soon, as I recently left a comment asking the plugin’s author to update the plugin so that it works with the latest editions of WordPress and BuddyPress. I’m¬†definitely¬†looking forward to having a paid account at WPMU DEV, cause I’ll be able to finish up my websites and be able to really start making money.

That’s all for now, so until next time, take care. ;)
