I will not be posting “Rant of the Week” anymore.

I have decided to discontinue posting the rant of the week because I usually don’t remember what I have been mad at the last week.
In other news, I have decided to try and win the Google Lunar X prize for Joffee Publishing Inc. I will soon be launching a site to this affect. Also, I will soon be moving all of the sites I own to a new server, so expect that they may soon go temporarily off-line. I do not think this should take longer than 3- 4 days at max.

Rant of the Week for July 18th, 2008.

It’s that time of the week again! Yep, it’s time for another Rant of the Week! My first target is eBay. How do they think anyone can sell an electronic book, if there is no way to upload it to the site? Plus, items have an expiry date in stores? Give me a break! Those are the two main reasons I cancelled my company’s subscription to a eBay store.

Second and last target is pets in general. Do people really think their pets are returning the love that they give them? I sure do not! I think the pet understands who likes it and treats it well, and who does not, but love… please, that is for humans only! Frankly, I can see how people mis-interpet it as love, but it is really just returning friendship and affection at most. Yes, you may love your pet or pets, but I believe they cannot. Love requires something more than what a pet has or is capable of.

Rant of the Week for July 4, 2008.

Before I begin to complain, let me wish all my American readers a Happy 4th of July. Happy Birthday America! May you long guard the freedoms in which we all share!

To kickoff this week’s rants, I shall begin by complaining about the lack of registrations on some of my sites. Most notably of this trend are AdultFunPlace.org and Joffee Auctions, which have had 0 registrations to date! Why won’t people register? It’s free to do so at both, so it doesn’t harm you to register!

My second area of complaints is aimed at my internet speed. I hate how slow my connection is! 31.2 Kbps is not fast enough these days to keep up with the net! I wish there was a cheap and fast way to connect to the web outside of cities and towns! Satellite is too expensive, and it is also too restrictive. I mean a quote of $700 to just install it, and I live only 15 minutes from the nearest city? Give me a break!

My final area where I am going to complain about is the lack of bids on the stuff I put up for auction, no matter what site. Why won’t people bid on the items? What is wrong with people these days? Don’t they want to grab a barely-used sound card or a used mobile music player for cheap?

Rant of the Week for June 27, 2008.

First, I would like to rant about how the weather is lousy for this time of year. Why can’t it be nice and hot and dry, instead of cool and wet? I would blame global warming, except I believe it’s a natural, recurring phenomenon. Look back in history, back to the 1100’s and notice that the weather there was warmer than normal for a period there too. However, the world cooled off, enough that people call it “The Little Ice Age”, so I believe it will happen again!
Next, I would like to rant about spammers. Why post off-topic links to garbage when you know it will just wind up getting you banned from a site? You know that if you send out your garbage via email, your ISP will be notified and you’ll get kicked off, so why try on forums and other public sites? Maybe some people just don’t learn!

Finally, I would like to rant against this summer cold/flu I have. Why does illness have to strike when the weather is finally staying above the freezing mark during the night? It makes no sense to me, unless my lack of sleep is partly to blame! I hate having to stick indoors when it’s so nice outside finally!

Rant of the Week for June 20, 2008.

My first thing to rant about is the soon need to dial ten numbers to make a local call! I mean 10 numbers? Come on! Alberta must be having a super boom of telephone users for that to happen! It also means alot of people are going to have to reprogram their telephones’ speed dial numbers! Talk about annoying!
