Due to the failure of Streamlabs OBS to show my latest game on RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe, I have to redo Dynamite Dunes for my viewers on Twitch. I have also switched back to Bebo for my streaming purposes, but have integrated Streamlabs Alert Box and credits into the scenes. Hopefully, I will get alerted when I get a follower using Streamlabs because Bebo failed to alert me when I got my first follower on Twitch.
I may actually decide to stream some Cities: Skylines, Factorio, or Surviving Mars for my next live stream instead of RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe. I doubt I will stream much Minecraft as watching me dig tunnels as I hunt for resources doesn’t sound very interesting to me (and I rarely talk to boot). Though with Factorio I tend to have problems designing my factory as I haven’t yet finished a single game. I also get bogged down in Cities: Skylines but I’m confident that’s more of a steeper learning curve as it’s been a while since I’ve managed a city. I could also do some OpenTTD, but I haven’t yet played that game on this computer.
I do have my art supplies set up in a corner of my living room, but I need to find some time to do so (either that or start getting off my computer more often and do other things). I also need to focus on keeping my apartment clean, as I need to wash the rest of my dishes and clean the bathroom and floors. Some would say that it’s because I’m a bachelor, but I will disagree and say it’s because I am lazy which is never a good thing. I’m going to go wash a load of dishes after I get done writing this post, and then decide what I’m going to do next.
Better go and get started on those dishes, so take care! 😉
Yesterday, I learned something about my health. It turns out diarrhea is my body’s way of cleansing itself. It’s trying to cleanse out something that could hurt me. What that is, I have no clue, but according to what I read, it should last another week or so. So until then, I’ll have to stick close to places with accessible bathrooms. 😉 If it gets worse (blood in it or other symptoms show up), I’ll go see the doctor for some medical help.
I also learned that some food can help me cut this health issue down. Such foods include:
- Liquids (especially fruit juices which can help keep up necessary vitamins and minerals the body needs)
- Probiotic yogurt
- Foods high in fiber (can help to solidify the waste and cut the frequency of using the toilet)
There are also foods anyone suffering from diarrhea should avoid. To read the list and to see some suggested home remedies of what to do, read this article.
I also shut down the blog hosting aspect and the ads on my site and returned it to a plain blog for me. I have also added a portfolio (thanks to Jetpack) to showcase my art and photography. (Why use an external site when I pay for hosting and can do so myself?) I am considering adding donation links to Liberapay and PayPal after I start posting my work here.
Finally, I’ve added an indicator to show when I’m streaming on Twitch.TV, and it links to my account there. I did a live stream yesterday morning for the second time (I also did one on Friday night.). My next live stream will take place tomorrow morning at 10 AM MDT, and will be me playing Minecraft on the Hypixel server. Until then, take care until I post here again or you watch me live stream on Twitch!
I have a strong need to organize my time better. With the lack of clean dishes in my kitchen, it’s staring me in the face. Yes, I have days off coming up this week in which I could wash them, but that just makes me lazy right now. Some might say that I’m saving my strength for my work shift this afternoon and evening, but that would not be entirely honest. I can easily do a load of dishes this morning and not get that tired. It’s just a matter of organizing my time wisely.
Lately, I seem to spend all of my time in front of my computer playing games or reading fanfiction (with the occasional ripping of a music CD to my computer to add it to my digital music collection). This might be excellent for me in that I am keeping busy, but I’m not getting done housework sitting in front of my computer and thus am wasting valuable time. After all, once you use up some time, you can never get it back. On my days off, I also didn’t do any streaming like I said I would, so in that regard, I also wasted that time (and also didn’t wash many dishes either).
I will leave now to take a shower and then wash some dishes before I have some fun before I need to get ready for work this afternoon. Take care until the next time I post here! 😉
I’m tired of not feeling 100% these days and I want better health! Whether it’s my stomach that’s giving me pain or the running to the washroom three and four times a day, I want it gone and to start having back my health again! I don’t like living like this and I really hate working feeling like this. Whatever is causing this, I want it gone and out of my way of living a healthy life!
I’m hoping that my landlord will agree to allow me to run my business from my apartment because if he doesn’t, I will have to disable the adding of new sites until I can afford my own place (whenever that would be). Being able to work from my apartment would be a benefit to my health as I wouldn’t have to go out amongst the elements when the weather was nasty just because I had to work.
I’m going to try streaming again, but instead of using YouTube, I’m going to be using Twitch. Why Twitch? It seems easier for me to work with, and it even recommended an app with integrated login support called Bebo. Twitch is also designed for game streaming whereas YouTube is more focused on recorded videos.
When will I be streaming?
I will be streaming 3-4 morning a week around 10 am or so. I will never be streaming on a weekend, as I already have Bible Study (and sometimes coffee afterward) on Saturdays and church on Sundays. I may also sometimes stream in the evenings after work or in the afternoons on my days off (except for the first Saturday of each month which I have a WordPress Meetup to attend in the afternoon for an hour or so at 2 PM).
What games will I be streaming on Twitch?
I have the following games installed that I will be streaming to Twitch (not my full list of games, just ones I plan to stream):
- Minecraft (modded with FTB Horizons III for 1.12.2)
- Cities: Skylines (a couple of DLCs installed)
- Software Inc.
- Academia School Simulator
- Railroad Tycoon II
- Surviving Mars
- Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe
- Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum
- Airport CEO
- Stronghold HD
- other games on my Steam wishlist
There are a couple of games that are installed on my computer which makes them not suitable for streaming – either due to them being a clicker-like game (AdVenture Capitalist) or their content is not suitable for younger viewers.
What can my readers do to support me?
Most importantly, watch the streams on Twitch! Having viewers means a lot, and if you are a member, follow my channel – you’ll get an email when I go live! I’ll also be announcing my streams via my Twitter account, so follow me there if you have an account! If you love what you are seeing from me, you can also support me financially by either tipping me via the Bits system in Twitch or via the donate image link there (payments are processed via Paypal for the donations)!
I look forward to streaming soon for all of you who enjoy watching people play games!
What is a blog?
Most people who are online should know what one is, but for those of you who are new to the internet, I’ll explain it in this post. The word blog comes from the phrase “web log” with web referring to the internet and the word log meaning a group of posts ordered by date. They can also be organized by categories and/or tags.
Why should I host my blog with The WhiteEagle’s Aerie?
Running your own blog means that you are responsible for everything – security, choosing the plugins, choosing the theme, updates, and everything else that comes with it. Here we take care of the security and updates, and can also help you if you run into issues with themes or plugins. It is also free for if you need up to 512 MB of storage for your uploaded media – most hosts start out at least $4.99/month or more (depending on the level of service and hosting you choose). You also have to put up with ads, but can remove them, increase the number of themes, plugins, and your storage for just C$5/month for our cheapest subscription.
Yes, you have to also abide by our rules, but even if you go the running your own blog unless you can run a server yourself, you have to abide by someone’s rules. Our rules are just common sense – no adult content (unless you can justify it as artistic and/or educational and not just titillating), no spam, and respecting the other members in the forums. The no adult content rule comes from our payment provider Paypal, which doesn’t allow adult-related transactions through its service.
Get started today!
Get started today by registering for an account (on this the main site) and after you verify your email address and log in, just choose the Add New option under My Sites to get started. You will need to provide a site domain, name and tagline to get started. You will also need to pick the site’s privacy level, but you can always change that in your settings if you change your mind later. Please take note that a Site Admin (like myself) can view all sites in the network regardless of this setting. After that is done, congratulations, you now can write for your own blog and have others read it as well! Good luck and happy writing!
Update: This site is now just a single-person blog and registration has been disabled completely.
