I hate being sick! I hate the symptoms and don’t like the medicine that deals with them that much either! I cannot wait to get back to full health so I can resume my normal daily life! The fact that my voice has been hit which means I cannot record any videos makes it only worse! (I’ll be sure to let you know when I resume recording and uploading – thank goodness I’m ahead to next Tuesday – don’t have to record until next Thursday.)
I should start by mentioning that I do not mean all of my time when I say that I need to manage my time better. Just the time that I spend waiting for my YouTube videos to upload. I used to watch videos to pass the time, but soon got bored of doing that. Now all I do is nap or spend it foolishly. Sometimes I wash dishes or take a shower, but mostly I just sit around and rarely read a book.
With only two months left until Christmas Eve, I should do what I have said I would do but have never done – make a Christmas display out of clay. If I use my coloured clays, I would not have to paint and it would be something I could use every year. Ideally, I should get it done before December and I have more than enough time to complete it – sixteen uploading days before December arrives. When it is complete, I will take a picture and post it to my deviantArt gallery.
If I don’t start using my art supplies, they will become worthless to me as something I never do. This is something I would like to avoid. Plus it will give me a legit reason for having an account with deviantArt.
I have updated the page on my blog that list my games with my newest purchases from Steam. (Consider sending me a friend request there!) I’ll eventually do series with both Project Highrise and Stardew Valley for my YouTube channel; I just want to finish my current series in Banished first.
I have also updated the page that lists the mods I use in my Peaceful Pack. As I do not know what I want to be the main focus of a new series in Minecraft or a good name for it, the videos I am releasing next week will all be for my Swagtown series, except for Monday’s video, which is an end of series announcement video shot in my world that I am not usually recording or streaming from. It wasn’t an easy decision to make to end my first Minecraft series, but it was in line with what I have always said I will do – no off-camera work for my YouTube videos.
I’ve got three stitches left in my right eye, but my eye specialist said they are deep inside and he doesn’t want to remove them unless they give me trouble. I’m still on the eye drops, but one has been reduced to just twice a day, and I can quit using them once I run out of each one.
I’ve got an inflamed stitch in my right eye, so I’m on two different eye drops 4 times a day and I need to go see my specialist in Edmonton to get it dealt with. As of writing this status update, I haven’t yet received word of when that will be and I have an appointment with my eye doctor here in Camrose if I don’t get an appointment before then. If I don’t get a call by four, I’ll assume I’ll be going to that appointment, as my specialist does surgeries on Friday and is not in the office.
I’m saving money by not having breakfast at the Norsemen Inn’s cafe after my night shifts. Instead, I’m eating at home before I go to bed. This is saving me between seven and twelve dollars a shift, and when I work ten to eleven shifts per pay period, it adds up. Yes, I am still taking taxi rides to and from work, but I took out cash for that when I deposited my check in the first place, so it’s already accounted for in the budget.
I might be earning a decent amount of money now, but if I don’t use it wisely, I’ll always be in debt to the credit card companies and never save up for anything that I want in the future, like a home that I own and not rent. By saving and not spending now, I’ll be able to spend big in the future on such things without accumulating too much debt getting them. (Of course, if I can convince my landlord to let me get a business license, I’ll be able to start making money from the Alberta Business Directory but that’s a different story and problem.)
Quit trying to hack into my personal Roblox account! I will never reset the password unless I have forgotten it, so don’t bother trying that trick on me!
I need to be less lazy in when I get out of bed. I’m getting out of bed later and later in the day, even though I’m going to bed around the same time. It’s pure laziness, nothing more and nothing less. I’ll need to get up earlier tomorrow anyways as I have a video to record for my YouTube channel so that I can stay a week ahead. I’ll also have to get up earlier on Friday to deposit my paycheck manually and pay my bills.
I love my new job and am doing the best that I can in order to keep it. Occasionally, I do make a mistake, but I try to correct them whenever I realize it (and ask for help when I don’t know how or can’t do so by myself). I’m enjoying the peace and quiet which allows me to read or quietly play games on my iPad, but am also enjoying the work that I do at the beginning and end of each shift as a night auditor.
I’m loving my new iPad for all the cool things it allows me to do when I’m not at my computer – from reading digital books, to surfing the web using Firefox (and having my tabs synced so I can just pick up where I left off), to chatting with my friends, to playing games and watching movies and TV shows. I should, in theory, be able to use it to do schoolwork when I return to school (after I get some more credit card debt paid off first) as I will be doing most of it online through NorQuest College.
My new iPad also makes reading a lot easier and not so tiring on my eyes during my night shifts at work. The text is so much bigger than on my iPhone, and the ability to rest every so often and go play a fun game is very nice. It’s especially nice since my solitaire stats will now be synced between my computer and my iPad thanks to Microsoft and it’s Game Cloud software. I’m also playing old favorite games of mine like The Sims and SimCity (and can find more games for free).
