I need to consider whether I should keep an updated version of my modpack at Swagnilla Ice as well as whether to start posting screenshots that are showing off the progress of Victory City. I already stream most of the work there to my Twitch channel even though very few people watch the building. I also release monthly update videos to my YouTube channel, but I think that a screenshot album might draw in more people to provide more feedback.
I’m glad that my blog is back up and running and that I can once again access cPanel. My blog was down for almost 6 hours today (and I have no clue why it happened), but hopefully, it won’t go down in the future. I’m not able to stream tonight, as I have less than two hours until I need to get ready and leave for work. I will, however, be working on my city for a bit tonight, and I’m thinking about setting up a stone brick and gravel factory. Gravel is not that common, but it does make flint in the crusher, so setting up a factory to grind cobblestone (that’s being auto-generated anyways) is a good idea as well as cooking the cobblestone into stone and then fashioning the stone into stone bricks for buildings. I’ll probably set up the machines first, including their connection to the network before I begin building the factory structure.
I usually don’t stream on Wednesday nights because I enjoy watching the Adults Only Minecraft live stream on YouTube those evenings. It’s always fun to watch and learn something new on that channel and to learn about various data packs and other stuff that they choose to run on their server for that season’s live stream.
I’m no longer playing my pack, Peaceful Pack. Instead, I found two different modpacks that are centered around playing in Peaceful Mode of Minecraft that I’ll make series out of, and play myself. I may also get brave enough to face the monsters of the game, and start a Vanilla World, but don’t count on it any time soon. 😉 I also deleted the Village Architect episodes I had posted to my channel already as it’s a dead series without the same world to return to. Instead, I’ll reboot that series starting next Tuesday on one of the other packs. For tomorrow’s episode, I’ll record the thirtieth episode of Swagtown, my Banished Let’s Play series instead of a Minecraft-based episode like I had originally planned.
I decided to reboot my Village Architect series because the first place wasn’t good for long-term development. Not to mention that I was also getting tired of listening to the villager noises, but I also prefer more flat terrain when building structures. Yeah, in one of my worlds I built inside mountains, but they were on the edge of a flat forested plain where I had started building (and I didn’t feel like flattening entire mountains and so incorporated them into my builds).
In my world that I sometimes stream from, I’ve made some nice progress and have switched from cobblestone roads to stone brick ones as I have plenty of that material now (thanks to powering up and configuring a Material Stonework Factory to mass-produce it). I’m now focused on getting pigs and chickens autobred and slaughtered to produce their drops and essence for my iron farm (as the cow farm doesn’t produce enough for a decent speed of iron on it own). It will also make my old egg and feather farm obsolete, so I will be tearing it down after I transfer the chickens to the new farm. I’ve also created a place to enchant my stuff and a place to build the various vehicles.
I have updated the page on my blog that list my games with my newest purchases from Steam. (Consider sending me a friend request there!) I’ll eventually do series with both Project Highrise and Stardew Valley for my YouTube channel; I just want to finish my current series in Banished first.
I have also updated the page that lists the mods I use in my Peaceful Pack. As I do not know what I want to be the main focus of a new series in Minecraft or a good name for it, the videos I am releasing next week will all be for my Swagtown series, except for Monday’s video, which is an end of series announcement video shot in my world that I am not usually recording or streaming from. It wasn’t an easy decision to make to end my first Minecraft series, but it was in line with what I have always said I will do – no off-camera work for my YouTube videos.
I will be live streaming to my Twitch channel tonight and tomorrow night at 11 PM and at 2 AM (both times are based in the America/Edmonton time zone). Each live stream will last for about two hours and that will be the schedule for my live streaming going forward. More likely than not, I will be streaming Minecraft – sometimes from a server called Chipping Blocks (a survival server on hard mode) and sometimes from a streamable game I’ve created for the Peaceful Pack I play through as a series on my YouTube channel.
Be sure to watch Peaceful Pack on my YouTube channel to see the reboot of that series – you will not regret it! In the very first episode, I forget to change the game mode early on – see what happens the first night! If you enjoy Banished, you may want to watch my Swagtown series which has a new episode coming out tomorrow!
