I will likely be streaming less in the next few months as an election can be called as early as February 2nd. I have volunteered my time to door knock for the local UCP candidate’s campaign and will be doing so this Saturday afternoon after a meeting. As I do not drive, I will be spending my effort in Camrose alone. However as a Board Member of the local constituency, I catch rides to meetings outside of Camrose, like the one next month which is scheduled for Tofield.
I usually don’t stream on Wednesday nights because I enjoy watching the Adults Only Minecraft live stream on YouTube those evenings. It’s always fun to watch and learn something new on that channel and to learn about various data packs and other stuff that they choose to run on their server for that season’s live stream.
It’s annoying to stream without any viewers. Yeah, I’ve only been streaming for a few months, but it would be nice to have a regular audience to interact with as I’m playing the game I’m streaming that night. It’s more fun when I have people to chat with as I’m building or playing. Building a city for me is boring unless I have someone to chat with as I’m working.
I’ll be streaming tomorrow afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow, I got to go Christmas gift shopping after I wake up before I begin my stream, but I should be live around 3 pm or so (watch my Twitter account for the announcement). I’m planning on streaming some more Surviving Mars tomorrow and Sunday as it’s a game I enjoy and have fun playing (and I’ve been told that’s the most important thing to remember). I’m glad I’m off until Christmas Eve as it means I can be rested up and ready for the holidays. I’m also not recording videos for my YouTube channel, but I’m two weeks ahead, so taking a week off due to the busyness of Christmas won’t hurt.
I won’t be live streaming late at night anymore unless it’s part of a stream that I started earlier in the day. It’s not worth the people who try to encourage me to kill myself while I’m streaming Minecraft or the other crazy people I’ve seen in my chat late at night. Besides, I just finished a five-hour stream and got one follower out of it, for four total gained this weekend. That’s nice, but I was hoping to pass the fifty I need as part of my push for affiliate status on Twitch. I’m also not getting the three concurrent viewers either, the other stat I need for affiliate status. Hopefully streaming earlier in the day will result in both of those getting accomplished, no matter what game I want to play that day.
I’ve added Environmental Tech to the Peaceful Pack. It’s a high-end tech mod that requires you to have at least acquired diamonds and gone to the Nether to start crafting the blocks in it. However, it has powerful mining and energy producing capabilities once you get into it. I would consider the Peaceful Pack with all the tech mods in it more of a tech modpack than a Vanilla+ one at this point.
I will be streaming on occasion to my Twitch channel, but only when the mood strikes me, and I will not be streaming Minecraft or the other game I am playing through at the moment on my YouTube channel. I am working on a new project today, but I may stream a game this afternoon if I get it done or get bored as it’s just data entry of categories that need to be completed before I can open Gate 90 as the web’s newest business directory.
Next weekend (July 27th – July 29th) is my family reunion, so I doubt I’ll be able to stream anything Friday or Saturday, and maybe something on Sunday evening again. I’ll try to make up for this by streaming in the morning Mon – Thurs (with Thursday being longer as a day off work).
I was planning on streaming some Software Inc, but due to the fact that Bebo wasn’t able to detect the game, I instead streamed more of my Surviving Mars game for my live stream today. I may stream more this evening, but I haven’t yet decided on that. I do want to play some modded Minecraft though, and probably will do some reading as well.
I’m using a dual-monitor setup now for my streaming. It will allow me to see my Bebo control panel on the secondary monitor while I am also playing the game on my main monitor. In the control panel, I’ll be able to see Twitch chat and events, and control sound levels and the various scenes. Today’s the first run of this setup at 10 am, so come to Twitch and watch the stream and chat with me (if you like what you see, follow my channel there to be notified when I start streaming by email).
