Looking at Shutting Down parts of CityCraft

Hey, citizens of CityCraft and visitors to my blog!

Due to the lack of players on the CityCraft server, lack of posts on the CityCraft forums, and active chat in the Discord server, I am severely inclined to shut the Discord server and website down and switch the Minecraft server to a whitelisted one for my Patreon supporters and Twitch subscribers. Unless theΒ  CityCraft server becomes more active (as well as the Discord server and the CityCraft forum) soon, I will be doing this.

I do not wish to take this action, but I feel I have no choice in this. I would also be rebooting the CityCraft server and changing the modpack (adding two plugins, one of them a major one in Tinker’s).

Thanks for your time today,
Nathan Pinno (swagnillaice)

PS. If I do take this action, I’ll move the modpack and zip file links here to a password-protected page and give the password only to my subscribers and supporters. That page will also contain a list of the mods my server and I use.

I’m launched my Patreon page

I’ve launched my Patreon page as well as my own Discord server for my Twitch fans. I really want to be able to stream more often for my fans on Twitch and have decided that this is the best route for me to follow at this time. I’d also like to reach the three concurrent viewers and fifty (50) followers needed for affiliate status with Twitch.

I’ve already built Loyalty Hall in my single-player world of Survival City, and in this morning’s live stream will be adding my current Twitch followers to the Twitch hall there. I’d like to take this time once again to thank them for following me on Twitch and showing their support of my channel. The fact that I’m already a fifth of the way to the followers needed for affiliate status is huge IMHO!

I hope that if you enjoy watching me on Twitch that you will consider to support me on Patreon and/or Twitch by following me there as well. πŸ˜‰

Unless people join Artist Community or Disciples of Jesus…

Unless people become members (at least one at each website) at Artist Community or Disciples of Jesus by the end of the month, I will remove the site or sites that are not active. An active forum is one that is growing in members as well as in posts. Right now, neither one of these two sites fits this profile and are just burdens on my hosting account. CityCraft, on the other hand, is a very active site and I will be happy to keep running it and the Minecraft server, though donations would be welcome there to help with the costs.

If I do shut down those two websites, I will instead be relaunching my Patreon page. I have a few ideas on how that will be, but you will have to wait and see what they are if I take this option. πŸ˜‰

Parking lots are NOT playgrounds!

Parking lots are NOT playgrounds – they are a dangerous place for children to play! Parents if you are reading this, please remind your children of this fact! Please also remind them that the shopping carts are not toys and should not be played around with! I don’t want to one day have to tell a parent that their child got hurt playing on a parking lot where I work, so if this message can be gotten out, I’ll be a happy worker!

Fridays are now Follower Fridays on Twitch!

Fridays are now Follower Fridays on my Twitch channel! Every Thursday evening (starting yesterday), I’ll post a tweet with a poll asking which of the four games you want me to see me play which will expire 5 minutes before the live stream starts on my channel. I’ll play the game that wins the poll for a minimum of two hours, but there are ways you can get me to play longer:

  1. Subscribe to my channel on Twitch and I’ll add 30 minutes of play time.
  2. Follow me (or convince a friend to do so) and I’ll add 15 minutes of play time.
  3. Tip bits or money via the link in my Twitch profile. For every $1 or 100 bits tipped, I’ll add 5 minutes of play time!

I’ll track the time (and events which add time) via the Bebo app (on my secondary monitor) which is what I use to stream my games to Twitch. When I reach the total time (2 hours + whatever my fans earned from subs, follows, bits, and donations) or 10 PM MT, I’ll end the live stream.

I’m working on relaunching Unlimited Fan Fiction

Today, I’m working on relaunching Unlimited Fan Fiction, and after I’m done doing that I’m considering doing a live stream for an hour or so as I didn’t do one yesterday (either before or after working at Wal-Mart). It’s a good day for staying inside as the weather outside isn’t very pleasant for outside activities.

I’ve got to set up fandoms, genres, forums, and ranks beside creating a home page, a community guidelines page, and a privacy policy for the new website before anyone can truly enjoy it. The privacy policy is vital considering the GDPR is now in effect in Europe and as I don’t discourage Europeans from joining, I have to abide by its provisions. If I want my sites to be successful, I need to follow the rules and guidelines.

I’d better get to work, so until the next time I post, take care! πŸ˜‰

I’ve put off grocery shopping for tomorrow…

I have decided to put off grocery shopping until tomorrow morning despite my decision to get up early today to get it done before my live stream. It was an easy decision after I saw how little money I had left in my checking account, and needed to transfer some money from my savings to get everything on my shopping list. Add in the fact that it was almost 8:30 am when I made the decision and I start live streaming at 10 am on the days I stream (like today), and you can see where I needed to manage my time more efficiently.

Tomorrow is a day off from streaming (and it takes a day for the money to transfer between a savings account and a checking account) so I’ll have the time before work in the morning to go grocery shopping without having to rush. Yeah, I won’t have my yogurt or waffles for my breakfast tomorrow, but I can go without for one day. πŸ˜‰

I’m thinking about…

I’m thinking about setting up a Patreon page. Any support there would result in the person getting the role of Donor on the Supreme Gamers Discord server I admin, just as any subscribers or donors to my Twitch account currently gives. It gives a different color username and access to channels which non-donors don’t have access to. I’d also give them access to my whitelisted modded Minecraft server when I set it up, and am considering live Q&A’s once a month for the higher paying donors (after I get a decent webcam).

If I do so, I currently would set up three goals:

  • $100 – get me a decent webcam
  • $550 – covers all my rent
  • $2,000 – covers all my bills, gives me enough for groceries, and a decent payment for my credit card each month (I’d also consider setting up the modded Minecraft server if this level of support was reached.)

Let me know in the comments what you think about this!

Anyone in Camrose or nearby want a copy…?

I’ve got a spare copy of 20th Century Masters: Bing Crosby: The Christmas Collection if anyone who enjoys music wants it. I just want it to have a good home where the music will be appreciated. If you are interested, get in contact with me via Facebook or by leaving a comment on this post. πŸ˜‰

I’ve also decided to quit playing the Horizons III modpack and go back to Nature’s Beauty modpack by Welsknight (he’s on YouTube and Twitch). Why? I was focusing more on machines and mining the ores I need to make them than I was on the building of new structures (which is my favorite part of Minecraft). So what I broadcast yesterday is not what people can expect the next time I stream Minecraft on Twitch.
