I’m glad that my blog is back up and running and that I can once again access cPanel. My blog was down for almost 6 hours today (and I have no clue why it happened), but hopefully, it won’t go down in the future. I’m not able to stream tonight, as I have less than two hours until I need to get ready and leave for work. I will, however, be working on my city for a bit tonight, and I’m thinking about setting up a stone brick and gravel factory. Gravel is not that common, but it does make flint in the crusher, so setting up a factory to grind cobblestone (that’s being auto-generated anyways) is a good idea as well as cooking the cobblestone into stone and then fashioning the stone into stone bricks for buildings. I’ll probably set up the machines first, including their connection to the network before I begin building the factory structure.
Once again, I’m attempting to turn my life around and break the chains that sin has on my life. I know it won’t be easy (if this isn’t the latest attempt isn’t proof enough, what is?) but I know it is something I must do. I’m not doing this because it is the popular thing to do but because it is the right thing for me to do. Some may scoff at me and say I’m just doing it for some reason like money but to me, my spiritual life is the most important thing that I have. Money may be important but it pales in comparison to where my soul will live for eternity after this body’s death and what I do on earth will influence what that will be like.
I urge you to take a look at your life-like I have and ask yourself “Is this the direction I want my life to travel, and if not what must I do to change the direction I am heading?” I’ll happily talk with anyone who wants to and tell you about the One who wants to be your Lord and Saviour who I have chosen to give my life fully to. 😀
I will likely be streaming less in the next few months as an election can be called as early as February 2nd. I have volunteered my time to door knock for the local UCP candidate’s campaign and will be doing so this Saturday afternoon after a meeting. As I do not drive, I will be spending my effort in Camrose alone. However as a Board Member of the local constituency, I catch rides to meetings outside of Camrose, like the one next month which is scheduled for Tofield.
I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year today! May you have a rewarding and fulfilling year to come and may God bless your life in 2019. For myself, I have the following goals for this year:
- Write more fan fiction than I did in 2018
- Get to at least 100 Twitch followers and try to stream more constantly
- Increase the amount of YouTube subscribers I have and the number of hours watched on my content there
- Get more traffic for this website and all of my websites
- Get Free Fellowship up and running
I believe all of them are realistic goals for the year ahead. What are your goals for 2019?
Have a Happy New Year!
I’m going to be live streaming more to Twitch! Whenever I have at least three hours, I will be live streaming to my Twitch channel as I have had a lot of fun the last two nights doing so. As I am off Wednesday and Thursday night, you can expect me to live stream for at least four hours each night probably starting around 10 PM MST.
If you don’t already, consider following my Twitter account as I tweet whenever I go live! Also, I am releasing new videos every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to my YouTube channel, so please consider taking a look and subscribing. I’m also in the process of posting most of them to Swagnilla Ice, so please be patient while I do so (the only videos I’m not posting are testimonials and Wii U racing videos).
I decided to reboot my Village Architect series because the first place wasn’t good for long-term development. Not to mention that I was also getting tired of listening to the villager noises, but I also prefer more flat terrain when building structures. Yeah, in one of my worlds I built inside mountains, but they were on the edge of a flat forested plain where I had started building (and I didn’t feel like flattening entire mountains and so incorporated them into my builds).
In my world that I sometimes stream from, I’ve made some nice progress and have switched from cobblestone roads to stone brick ones as I have plenty of that material now (thanks to powering up and configuring a Material Stonework Factory to mass-produce it). I’m now focused on getting pigs and chickens autobred and slaughtered to produce their drops and essence for my iron farm (as the cow farm doesn’t produce enough for a decent speed of iron on it own). It will also make my old egg and feather farm obsolete, so I will be tearing it down after I transfer the chickens to the new farm. I’ve also created a place to enchant my stuff and a place to build the various vehicles.
I’ve reposted a fanfic of my own at Unlimited Fan Fiction called Harry James Pendragon-Slytherin: Heir of Arthur. It is only the first chapter, but it is nice to have some more content in my new archive, rather than having it blank. Maybe seeing something there will encourage more people to register as members there. 😉 I honestly wish I had more content to post, but I have deleted in the past much of my younger work when I had written much more, including some highly praised Pokemon stories.
I should start by mentioning that I do not mean all of my time when I say that I need to manage my time better. Just the time that I spend waiting for my YouTube videos to upload. I used to watch videos to pass the time, but soon got bored of doing that. Now all I do is nap or spend it foolishly. Sometimes I wash dishes or take a shower, but mostly I just sit around and rarely read a book.
With only two months left until Christmas Eve, I should do what I have said I would do but have never done – make a Christmas display out of clay. If I use my coloured clays, I would not have to paint and it would be something I could use every year. Ideally, I should get it done before December and I have more than enough time to complete it – sixteen uploading days before December arrives. When it is complete, I will take a picture and post it to my deviantArt gallery.
If I don’t start using my art supplies, they will become worthless to me as something I never do. This is something I would like to avoid. Plus it will give me a legit reason for having an account with deviantArt.
I have updated the page on my blog that list my games with my newest purchases from Steam. (Consider sending me a friend request there!) I’ll eventually do series with both Project Highrise and Stardew Valley for my YouTube channel; I just want to finish my current series in Banished first.
I have also updated the page that lists the mods I use in my Peaceful Pack. As I do not know what I want to be the main focus of a new series in Minecraft or a good name for it, the videos I am releasing next week will all be for my Swagtown series, except for Monday’s video, which is an end of series announcement video shot in my world that I am not usually recording or streaming from. It wasn’t an easy decision to make to end my first Minecraft series, but it was in line with what I have always said I will do – no off-camera work for my YouTube videos.
I’m saving money by not having breakfast at the Norsemen Inn’s cafe after my night shifts. Instead, I’m eating at home before I go to bed. This is saving me between seven and twelve dollars a shift, and when I work ten to eleven shifts per pay period, it adds up. Yes, I am still taking taxi rides to and from work, but I took out cash for that when I deposited my check in the first place, so it’s already accounted for in the budget.
I might be earning a decent amount of money now, but if I don’t use it wisely, I’ll always be in debt to the credit card companies and never save up for anything that I want in the future, like a home that I own and not rent. By saving and not spending now, I’ll be able to spend big in the future on such things without accumulating too much debt getting them. (Of course, if I can convince my landlord to let me get a business license, I’ll be able to start making money from the Alberta Business Directory but that’s a different story and problem.)
