I will be live streaming to YouTube three days a week from now on as my schedule. Those days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (today, what an interesting development 😉 ) and on the days I work in the afternoon I will be streaming until noon, and on the days I am off, I will be streaming as long as I want to. Occasionally I will be streaming on Saturdays when I feel like it as well, but it isn’t part of the official schedule. 😉 If you want to know when the next stream is, join my Discord server and you will get a notification when I go live.
I had a great reunion this past weekend, but now it’s time to get back to normal things. I did a couple of live streams yesterday after I got home (one after 2 and one at 7:30 or so) and will not be doing one today even though I will be playing Minecraft this morning before I have to go to work this afternoon. I will be starting a modded 1.12.2 Survival world so that I can eventually build Loyalty Hall to display my awesome Twitch followers (and eventual subscribers) and Patreon supporters! Right now though I need to go have a shower, then it will be time to play so take care for now!
I’ll be busy this weekend attending my family reunion here in Camrose and I doubt I’ll have any time to stream to Twitch. A lot of relatives are going to be there and a lot is planned, and I’ve volunteered to help out with the computer-related stuff (and I’m getting paid to do so). I just hope this summer flu I’ve got goes away by tomorrow or it won’t be entirely fun for me…
Next weekend (July 27th – July 29th) is my family reunion, so I doubt I’ll be able to stream anything Friday or Saturday, and maybe something on Sunday evening again. I’ll try to make up for this by streaming in the morning Mon – Thurs (with Thursday being longer as a day off work).
If no one joins me on the CityCraft Minecraft server by the end of the month, I’ll shut down the Discord server and the website, and whitelist the server. I’ll then only grant access to Patreon and Twitch subscribers as a benefit of supporting me (and move the pack and zip file to here to be hosted). I’ll then redo the Discord server as a place for my followers to hang out and chat with me. It’s one thing for people to join the website and the Discord server, but another to join the server. I’d rather play with people than just chat with them.
I got my first tip today on the same day I got the same person following me on Twitch! Yeah, it’s just a dollar, but it’s the value that I was tipped and someone appreciated the work that I put into my live streams. Of course, no one voted on this week’s poll on Twitter, so I got to choose the game I wanted to play. I’m going to do another live stream this evening because I want to remake my tools (lost it first to a fall from a high place including an elevator block – a lot of work went into that – then to lava when I fell in) and I’m so happy over getting my first tip plus I’ll probably be playing this world a lot less after the CityCraft server goes live.
I was planning on streaming some Software Inc, but due to the fact that Bebo wasn’t able to detect the game, I instead streamed more of my Surviving Mars game for my live stream today. I may stream more this evening, but I haven’t yet decided on that. I do want to play some modded Minecraft though, and probably will do some reading as well.
PlayerCrunch is almost ready for new members and when that is the case, I’ll be using it as my “sponsor” for my Twitch channel streams. Instead of adding things that I’m not ready for (because I can’t afford everything), instead, I’ll only be adding in features when I can add them fully. Yes, it means that the community may not have as many features as others, but it will run more smoothly (and new features will have more meaning).
I’m using a dual-monitor setup now for my streaming. It will allow me to see my Bebo control panel on the secondary monitor while I am also playing the game on my main monitor. In the control panel, I’ll be able to see Twitch chat and events, and control sound levels and the various scenes. Today’s the first run of this setup at 10 am, so come to Twitch and watch the stream and chat with me (if you like what you see, follow my channel there to be notified when I start streaming by email).
I’m no longer streaming Minecraft on Twitch because I believe that watching me play it is not helping me gain followers on Twitch. Instead, I’m playing games like Surviving Mars where there should be more interesting stuff and thus more exciting for people to want to watch my stream.
